We spent the most perfect Summer evening at Gather Greene, feasting and gaming and dancing in the quarry til dark. A truly magical day expertly produced by Joy Locke (of Locke Projects), things kicked off with a cocktail at the pavilion followed by a stroll through the property’s winding trails studded with tucked-away food stations. One last stop at the edge of the woods overlooking the quarry pond, offering a bird’s eye view of the festivities below.

This is one of three ‘vignettes’ included in each package, great for sprinkling additional seating throughout a space and creating intimate areas for your guests to sit and enjoy a drink together. We love these midcentury modern inspired leather strap chairs—not only are they beautiful but wow are they COMFORTABLE! Optional sheepskins (not featured here) are also included for each chair to make them even more cush.

One of our favorite signature games is Gruyere (yes like the cheese), our tall standing maze. This is usually the first game approached at an event for its size and design—guests are always like “What is that?!” And once someone grabs the handles and starts playing, a crowd quickly forms around them, eagerly watching on as they guide the ball up through the life-sized labyrinth with great care. And when they win, the crowd erupts into absolute exuberance. That is exactly what happened here…

Recently I began taking inventory of my life, recognizing the shifts I could make to lessen my personal consumption and impact. Since we spend a quarter of our lives working, that was certainly an area demanding attention. So I left retail and begin my career freelancing for small businesses whose higher purpose transcends profit.

I believe in employing my skills and energy to empower others working to create positive change in our world. I support too-swamped entrepreneurs by breathing life into their brands and websites, allowing them to focus on the important work at hand. At the same time, I get to nurture my own entrepreneurial spirit while being creative and building truly meaningful relationships throughout my community.

I strive to inform, delight and inspire by balancing content with design. I consider the details without losing sight of the big picture. I aim to see around corners while staying focused on the moment. I'm self directed but have over a decade of experience successfully working with teams. And while I've surely got bills to pay, I know it's my social responsibility to be selective about where I put my energy.
