Stockade Works’ Summer Benefit Party

We had the absolute pleasure of joining the Stockade Works’ 2023 MAKE LOCAL WORK summer benefit party at Arrowood Farms in Accord, NY. It was a beautiful summer evening of craft libations, delicious local bites, live music (shout out to High and Mighty Brass Band), and our games! All proceeds supported the Stockade Works Scholarship Fund, opening doors for historically underserved populations in the Hudson Valley to access careers in the region’s growing Film & Television industry.

A special thanks to Steph Mossey for so skillfully capturing all the fun and beauty of the day!

About the Venue: Arrowood Farms is a farm brewery, distillery, and event destination located in the beautiful Accord of upstate New York’s Hudson Valley. Their beer is brewed onsite using ingredients they grow themselves. What they don’t grow at Arrowood they source from other small, local New York farms that share the same commitment to sustainability and responsible agriculture.

“We believe local is better because it means our ingredients don’t travel very far. This means a smaller carbon footprint and better tasting beer, spirits and food. This is how we honor the land we grow on and support our community of small farmers.“

“I cannot say enough about Upstate Jamboree and working with their amazing team! They generously supported our event at Arrowood Farms for Stockade Work's Make Local Work Summer Benefit. Their gorgeous (and fun!) games added so much to our evening. The guests LOVED it. We cannot wait to partner with them again - and often!”

Freelance Web & Graphic Designer

Recently I began taking inventory of my life, recognizing the shifts I could make to lessen my personal consumption and impact. Since we spend a quarter of our lives working, that was certainly an area demanding attention. So I left retail and begin my career freelancing for small businesses whose higher purpose transcends profit.

I believe in employing my skills and energy to empower others working to create positive change in our world. I support too-swamped entrepreneurs by breathing life into their brands and websites, allowing them to focus on the important work at hand. At the same time, I get to nurture my own entrepreneurial spirit while being creative and building truly meaningful relationships throughout my community.

I strive to inform, delight and inspire by balancing content with design. I consider the details without losing sight of the big picture. I aim to see around corners while staying focused on the moment. I'm self directed but have over a decade of experience successfully working with teams. And while I've surely got bills to pay, I know it's my social responsibility to be selective about where I put my energy.
